Ambassador Eric S. Edelman retired as a Career Minister from the U.S. Foreign Service on May 1, 2009. He has served in senior positions at the Departments of State and Defense as well as the White House. He received a Ph.D. in U.S. Diplomatic History from Yale University in 1981.

He recently commanded a space operations support squadron in Colorado and has served in a variety of staff officer positions around the globe with duty in Italy, Iraq, Turkey, and the Arabian Peninsula.

Tytti Erästö has a Ph.D. in International Relations from Tampere University, Finland. Her interests include nonproliferation, nuclear disarmament, Middle East politics, conflict management, and English School theory.
