Stephen J. Ramos

Stephen J. Ramos is a Research Fellow with The Dubai Initiative. He received his doctoral degree from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design (GSD) in 2009. His dissertation explored the multiple roles and meanings of infrastructure within rapidly urbanizing circumstances, looking specifically at the case of Dubai.

Aaron Rapport is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Minnesota. In addition to the Belfer Center's International Security Program, his dissertation research on strategic assessment and U.S. military interventions is supported by the Miller Center of Public Affairs at the University of Virginia.

Michael D.H. Robbins is a Research Fellow with The Dubai Initiative and a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at the University of Michigan. His dissertation examines the institutional and contextual factors that account for the success or failure of Islamist parties in the Arab world.
Elizabeth S. Rogers
Associate, International Security Program
Elizabeth S. Rogers received a Ph.D. in political science, with a concentration in international relations, from Duke University. Her research examines economic sanctions as a foreign policy tool. Rogers’ particular research interest is in financial and other forms of “smart” sanctions targeted at elites.
