Have you applied to the PMF program?  Are you considering applying in the future? Come hear about the application and job search process from a recent alum currently serving as a Presidential Management Fellow in Office of the Secretary of Defense. Co-sponsored with Office of Career Advancement.

Luke Hartig is a Stability Operations/Irregular Warfare Coordinator in the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).  His work focuses on improving DoD support to Afghanistan reconstruction work. He has previously worked on improving the military's capabilities to train, advise, and assist foreign security forces, as well as developing civilian agency capacity for stability operations.  From January - May 2009, Luke was assigned to the Counterinsurgency Training Center in Afghanistan, where he led the development of USG civil-military plans for 4 provinces across Regional Command-East.

Prior to joining OSD, Luke was a program officer in the State Department's Office of Civilian Police and Rule of Law.  He has also worked on defense issues at the Government Accountability Office and homeland security issues at Good Harbor Consulting.

Luke served in the Peace Corps in Guatemala from 2003-05, where he developed water and sanitation systems for rural villages.  He holds an M.P.P. in International Security and Political Economy from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and a B.A. in International Relations from Boston University.
