Experience

Carolyn Wood is the Assistant Academic Dean of the John F. Kennedy School of Government. She conducts institutional research, coordinates the academic areas, and supports the Faculty Steering Committee, which provides strategic advice to the Dean. She also coordinates the Broadmoor Project, a partnership between the Kennedy School and the Broadmoor neighborhood of New Orleans to help support and capture lessons from community-based recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Previously, Carolyn served five years as the Associate Director of Finance at the Kennedy School. She also served as Vice President for Research at the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC), a non-profit started by Harvard Business School Professor Michael Porter. She holds a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BA from Hampshire College.
