Karin Vander Schaaf is the administrative coordinator of the Science, Technology, and Public Policy Program (STPP)/Energy Technology Innovation Policy (ETIP) research group and provides faculty assistance to Professors Venkatesh Narayanamurti, Laura Diaz Anadon, and David Keith. Her administrative responsibilities include financial management and budget oversight, logistics planning for conferences, seminars, and workshops including the Information Technology & Governance 2.0 conference in September 2010 and the Executive Workshop on Energy Technology Demonstration in December 2010, and working with the STPP/ETIP fellows on HKS administrative matters. She is a member of the HKS Sustainability Initiative.
Karin joined the Belfer Center after eleven years at Harvard Medical International where her role was Manager of Administrative Operations and Program Manager for the Dubai Healthcare City project. She served in Dubai, UAE, from September 2003–October 2004 in the first phase of the project. Karin holds a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Graduate Certificate of Special Studies in Administration and Management from the Harvard Extension School.
