Experience

Noelle Janka is the Program Coordinator for the Middle East Initiative of the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. Before joining the Middle East Initiative, Noelle was the Recruitment Director for Green Corps, a training program in grassroots environmental organizing. Noelle has worked on multiple political and environmental campaigns, including the campaign to elect President Barack Obama. In 2005, Noelle spent a summer working for American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA) in Jerusalem and the Occupied Palestinian Territories. She has also spent time in Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

Noelle graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2007 with a B.S. in Human and Organizational Development with a focus in International Leadership and Development. In her spare time, she maintains two garden plots and occasionally writes live music reviews for Performer Magazine.

Fifty-one participants from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Iraq, Morocco, Libya, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine and Jordan convened at the Dead Sea last week for a five-day Executive Education program entitled "Leading for the Future: The Arab Region in a Changing World."
