Robert Kates

Experience

Robert Kates is a Visiting Research Scholar. He continues as an executive editor of Environment magazine and in 1999 saw to completion (with Bill Clark) the National Academy of Sciences report, Our Common Journey: A Transition toward Sustainability. He continues as co-PI on the Association of American Geographers research project on Global Change in Local Places and with Tom Wilbanks and saw their paper "Global change in local places: How scale matters" published (Climatic Change 43:601-628). He took part in a Heinz Center study on coastal erosion and helped organize a Maine State meeting on global climate change.
