The winter 2006-07 issue of the Belfer Center newsletter features a visit to Harvard Kennedy School by Mohammad Khatami, former president of Iran. Khatami provided insight into Iranian concerns and interests related to that country's nuclear program. Also featured in this issue is United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, who spoke recently at a JFK Jr Forum moderated by Belfer Center Director Graham Allison.

The Summer 2006 issue of the Belfer Center newsletter features recent and upcoming research, activities, and analysis by Center faculty, fellows, and staff on critical global issues. This issue features "Debate on Iraq: What Should the U.S. Do Now" with comments from a John F. Kennedy forum discussion between John Deutch and William Kristol. The summer issue also features Belfer Center experts recommending steps for peace in Sudan, the annual meeting of the Belfer Center's International council, as well as other critical national and international issues.

Belfer Center experts discuss the need for Global Energy Security and the benefits of a U.S.-India Nuclear agreement, as well as other critical national and international issues.

In addition, the Winter newsletter spotlights, Dan Schrag, director of Harvard's Center for the Environment, and features a Q&A with Kelly Sims Gallagher, director of the Belfer Center's Energy Technology Innovation Project (ETIP).

The project is to explore the meaning and impact of this primacy. This issue also features a United Nations symposium opened by Belfer Center Science, Technology, and Public Policy Director John P. Holdren on the risks and financial implications of global warming.
