Experience

Harold Hestnes practices general litigation with emphasis on public law issues, particularly antitrust and regulatory matters affecting the oil, gas and electric power industries. He has represented various health care providers in regulatory matters and acquisition strategies.

Mr. Hestnes is a prior chairman of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, director and secretary of the Massachusetts Business Roundtable, and is past chairman and a member of the Boston Coordinating Committee. He has served as chairman of the Board of Selectmen for the Town of Weston, and as director and chairman of the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of CareGroup, Mass. Inc., and the Vermont Historical Society.

Mr. Hestnes is a member of the Boston Bar Association and the Antitrust Section of the American Bar Association. From 1961-62, Mr. Hestnes served as counsel to Governor John A. Volpe.

Mr. Hestnes received a J.D. degree from Boston College Law School, an LL.M. and M.P.A. from Harvard University and an A.B. from Harvard College.

Mr. Hestnes is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
