Experience

Bijan Mossavar-Rahmani is Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer, of RAK Petroleum PCL, a closely held company formed in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE and funded by public entities and individuals in the Middle East.

An experienced industry executive, Mr. Mossavar-Rahmani serves concurrently as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Foxtrot International, LDC, a Franco-American oil and gas company active in West Africa and as CEO of Mondoil Enterprises, LLC, an energy investment company, in the United States. He is a member of the Board of Directors of DNO International ASA, a Norwegian oil and gas company listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and was founder and first chief executive of Houston-based Apache International, Inc.

In addition to his industry positions, Mr. Mossavar-Rahmani is active in public and international affairs. He is a Trustee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, a member of the Visiting Committee to Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government and a Director of Persepolis Foundation. He has published more than ten books and dozens of articles on global energy markets and was decorated a Commandeur de l'Ordre National de la Cote d'Ivoire for services to the energy sector of that country.

He is a graduate of Princeton and Harvard Universities.
