Experience
A private investor since 1991, Mr. Richards is based in Santa Monica. He has held several positions over the years in the financial services and investment banking industry. From 1985 to 1991, he was Vice Chairman of Primecap Management in Pasadena. From 1973-1985, he was a Senior Vice President for the Capital Research and Management Company (Capital Group) in Los Angeles. Before joining Capital Research and Management, he was a Partner at H.C. Wainwright & Co. in New York City, 1971 to 1973.
Mr. Richards received an AB (cum laude) from Harvard University; a BA and MA from Wadham College, Oxford, England; and an MBA from Harvard.
