Experience
Nabil Ali Alyousuf is Assistant Director General of The Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He has B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arizona, M.Sc. In Operations Research from Georgia Institute of Technology and MBA from University of Strathclyde. Nabil Alyousuf worked in many reputed organizations such as Dubai Islamic Bank, Emirates Petroleum Production Company and Dubai Media City. His current duties in his capacity as Assistant Director General include leading the development of Dubai Strategic plan, designing and implementing policies and programs that aim at enhancement of the public sector in Dubai and development of initiatives to improve the competitiveness of the national workforce in the labor market. He is the Director of Dubai Government Excellence Program, Executive President of Arab Strategy Forum, Director of Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Arab Management, Director of Mohammad Bin Rashid Program for Leadership Development. Chairman of Dubai Institute for Human Resource Development and Executive President of Dubai School of Government.

"The Middle East: Between Progress and Conflict," an inaugural conference jointly hosted by The Dubai Initiative and the Dubai School of Government, was held on November 8, 2007 at the Kennedy School of Government.
The conference opened with remarks by Graham Allison, Nabil Ali Alyousuf, Tarik Yousef, and Vali Nasr. Lakhdar Brahimi, former Special Advisor to the UN Secretary General, opened the conference with his keynote speech, "Issues of War and Peace in the Middle East: A Few Remarks."
