Ingrid Ohna is a Ph.D candidate at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Her doctoral research examines knowledge dynamics in private-public partnerships in the agricultural sector in Tanzania.

Robert Paarlberg's principal research interests are international agricultural and environmental policy. His book, Starved for Science: How Biotechnology Is Being Kept Out of Africa explains why poor African farmers are denied access to productive technologies.
Since 2005 Dr. Smets serves as Biosafety and Regulatory Specialist at Perseus bvba. Dr. Smets obtained her PhD in agronomy at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. She has been working in plant biotech research at Advanta Seeds B.V. for 15 years.
