Melissa Hathaway, former acting senior director for cyberspace at the National Security Council, has joined the Belfer Center as a senior advisor to its cyber security initiative, Project Minerva, a joint effort between the Department of Defense, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Harvard University.

Lucas Kello is exploring the implications of offensive cyber weapons for international relations and security. His work involves the design of a conceptual framework for the analysis of deterrence and escalation dynamics in the cyber domain, while his policy research focuses on European and NATO institutional responses to emergent cyber threats.

Venkatesh Narayanamurti was formerly the Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and Dean of Physical Sciences at Harvard. He obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from Cornell University. He has published widely in the areas of low temperature physics, superconductivity, semiconductor physics, electronics, and photonics.
