On April 23, 2008, the Energy Technology Innovation Policy (ETIP) research group convened a workshop on The Electrification of Energy. This workshop brought together a small number of selected experts to discuss the opportunities for and challenges of the electrification of energy. The list of participants included representatives of the automobile industry, electric public utilities, government, non-governmental organizations, and academia. This document summarizes the key points presented during the various sessions.
