Harvard Kennedy School Professor Joseph Nye, a member of the Belfer Center board of directors, is the most influential international relations scholar on U.S. foreign policy in the last 20 years, while the Belfer Center’s Stephen Walt and John Ruggie both rank among the 20 most influential academics in international relations, according to a biannual survey of international relations faculty by the Teaching, Research, and International Policy (TRIP) Project.

Sir John Gieve, former deputy governor of Bank of England, has been named senior fellow at Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. He will work on the international economic crisis and on the differing UK and US approaches to countering terrorism.

Demographic Projections Predict Fundamentalist Populations Surpassing Secular Counterparts

William H. Tobey, deputy administrator for Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation at the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) from 2006 to 2009 and a Harvard Kennedy School graduate (MPP ‘84), will start February 2nd as a senior fellow at the Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, where he will work with the Center’s nuclear team.
